AppManagEvent is taking place on 11 October and Access IT Automation will be there. AppManagEvent is one of the only industry events in Europe where the primary focus is on application management, making it one of the most important events on the application management calendar.

Access IT Automation is a Gold Partner for this year, so we’ll have a stand where you can meet our team. We’ll also have a great competition for you to enter.  As a Gold Partner, we’ll have a speaking slot at one of the break-out sessions where our focus will be on the automation strategies you can employ to optimise application packaging, testing, and deployment.

About AppManagEvent

Now in its 18th edition, AppManagEvent is one of the world’s leading application management events bringing together IT professionals and decision-makers from across Europe – from CTOs to IT architects to application packagers and everyone in between. The one-day event started in 2006 as PackagingEvent but has evolved to include a wider range of application management topics, rebranding in 2013 as AppManagEvent.

The topics set to be covered this year include:

  • Application packaging and testing
  • Application deployment
  • Application compatibility
  • Automation tools
  • Software infrastructure
  • Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows 365, and Windows Server
  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Desktop as a Service (DaaS)
  • Application lifecycle management
  • Unified Endpoint Management (UEM)
  • Application virtualisation
  • Workspace management
  • Threat detection and analysis
  • Mobile device management
  • Password management
  • Workspace security
  • Access management, user profile management, and endpoint privilege management
  • Identity management

A Focus on Application Management

David Butler-McAllister, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Access IT Automation, said events like AppManagEvent are beneficial not only for the application management industry but also for the wider IT sector and anyone with an interest or involvement in application management.

David said: “I have worked in the field of application management for many years now and the changes that have taken place have been phenomenal. If anything, those changes are picking up pace rather than slowing as new innovations are developed, parts of the sector consolidate, and big behemoths like Microsoft continue to evolve their offering.

“The way enterprise users interact with applications and their devices is also changing. There is the whole work-from-anywhere movement where enterprise users operate multiple devices in the office, in a different office, at home, and on the go. But it is more than this, though, as user expectations become more demanding in an increasingly fast-paced and connected world. DEX (digital employee experience) is not just a thing anymore – it is the thing.

“With events like AppManagEvent, the whole field of application management gets the focus it deserves. After all, despite the role applications play in the smooth and productive operation of businesses in all sectors, application management is still too often on the periphery.

“Think of the time and resources that many companies still allocate to manually package, test, and deploy applications. Or the problems that can occur in large Windows or VDI migrations because of insufficient planning and consideration of application packaging formats, processes, and deployment options.

“So, the fact that AppManagEvent exists is fantastic and it is even better that it is so well attended with contributions from leading thinkers and innovators in this field.

“At Access IT Automation, we are delighted to be a Gold Partner of AppManagEvent this year and the team is looking forward to attending and joining in the discussions. See you in Utrecht!”
