Evergreen IT was never really a tooling problem. It is a knowing problem. Vendors ship when they ship, your estate depends on a few hundred things that matter and several thousand that do not, and nobody has the hours to watch all of it.
Capture Echo turns that into a subscription. You curate the device drivers and applications your estate actually depends on. Echo watches the vendor sources, retrieves each new release, and tells you when something you subscribed to changes. With Access Capture behind it, that signal becomes a packaged, tested, ready-to-deploy output.
Why We Built It
Every organisation we work with has already agreed, in principle, to evergreen. With evergreen, you stay current, supported, and secure, so the principle is not in dispute. Putting it into practice is where it falls apart.
There are three common failures that occur:
Capture Echo is deliberately not a catch-all repository. It is a short list that you define and that is then kept current on your behalf. It can also be connected to automation tools that turn new releases into deployable packages.

With Access Capture, the notification starts another automated process.
This is the part that makes Echo more than a notification service. Access Capture already automates packaging, testing, and publishing. Echo automatically starts the process.
This closes the evergreen loop: a vendor publishes, Echo notices, Access Capture packages and tests to your standards, and a deployable output lands in your repository. It’s automation without support tickets, manual chasing, or hours spent figuring out what has changed.
Vendor
Vendors decide their own schedules for driver, BIOS, and application updates.
Capture Echo
Files that you are subscribed to are pulled, checksums are recorded, and you are told.
Capture Packaging
Packages can be created in legacy or modern formats and to your packaging standards.
Capture Testing
QA, smoke, performance, and user acceptance testing are all automated.
Capture Publishing
The tested output is prepared for controlled release, including through Intune.
Echo works on its own as a subscription and notification service. The automated packaging and testing steps require an Access Capture licence.
When you paste a vendor support URL, Echo returns the device with its drivers ingested and sorted into categories. It takes about a minute and it works on models it has never seen before.
You can subscribe to a whole device, a driver category such as BIOS or audio, a single package, or an individual file. Notifications arrive at the specific level you chose to prevent notification of the same thing twice.
When you give Echo a product page, it determines the publisher, the product, and the best way to track it. It then reads the download page to pull out versions and variants without the need for per vendor hand-written scrapers.
Applications can be tracked wherever they are actually hosted, e.g., a vendor's own download page, GitHub or GitLab releases, Winget, or Chocolatey. One subscription in Echo covers all of them.
You'll receive a digest of what changed, deduplicated and grouped by your subscriptions. Vendor priority, such as critical, is applied to ensure urgency is visible without opening anything.
Every release carries its version, release date, file type, size, vendor priority, and checksums. This ensures you get full provenance and integrity.

Echo exists because our own packaging teams needed it. Now you can access it too.
Capture Echo is delivered as an Azure subscription. You sign in with your Microsoft Entra ID tenant, subscribe through the Azure Marketplace, and Echo runs as a managed service. This means there is nothing to deploy, nothing to patch, and no Access IT Automation infrastructure sitting in your subscription.
Transacting through the Azure Marketplace means Microsoft handles the billing and your existing Microsoft vendor onboarding largely covers it. And where the offer is eligible, the spend can be drawn down against an Azure consumption commitment you have already made.
Option One
Already an Access Capture customer? Echo becomes the sixth module and the front end of your evergreen loop, feeding Packaging, Testing, and Publishing automatically.
Option Two
You can buy Echo on its own for curated tracking, retrieval, and notifications. The Access Capture automation can be added later without changing your driver/application subscriptions.
Option Three
Subscribe through the Azure Marketplace and procure Echo through your existing Azure agreement. Coming soon, alongside Capture Shift.
