As of July 2026, Access Symphony is now natively supported on ARM64-powered Windows 11 devices with no emulation required.
Enterprise applications written for X64 can run on ARM devices, but they do so via the built-in emulation in Windows. While they technically work, running through this transition layer means they are typically slower and can sometimes be buggy.
Andy Lambros, Director at Access IT Automation, explained why it was important to update Access Symphony with native ARM64 support.
“The enterprise organisations we work with are increasingly moving users to Arm-based Windows 11 devices. Performance is crucial to the software we develop at Access IT Automation, so it has been a target for 2026 to achieve fully native ARM64 support. We are delighted to announce that this is now the case.”
Access IT Automation worked in collaboration with Microsoft’s FastTrack App Assure engineers to validate Access Symphony’s native ARM64 support.
Andy said: “ARM64 is bringing enhanced AI features, battery life, and efficiency to enterprise IT environments. Our customers can now have confidence that Access Symphony has been validated by Microsoft for ARM64-powered devices.
“We also want to highlight that x64 support for Access Symphony is completely unchanged. Support for ARM64 is an addition to our platform coverage, so whether you run x64 or ARM64 devices, Access Symphony is natively supported.”
